Michelle Cummings
Michelle is the Big Wheel and creator of
Training Wheels Inc. Training Wheels is a known leader in the
portable, adventure equipment industry and prides itself in creating
quality, affordable activities, books, and trainings for those
seeking experiential resources. Michelle has created a wide
variety of facilitation, debriefing and reviewing activities that
have collectively changed the way adventure-based educators and
trainers work. She has facilitated a wide variety of programs from
therapeutic populations, corporate and school groups, to train the
trainer programs for professionals.
Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology from Kansas State University and her Masters degree in
Experiential Education from Minnesota State University at Mankato.
Michelle actively seeks and/or creates new processing activities to
enhance her processing workshops and to provide new resources for
facilitators. Michelle has authored two books, A Teachable Moment--A
Facilitator's Guide to Activities for Processing, Debriefing,
Reviewing, and Reflection co-authored with Jim Cain and Jennifer
Stanchfield, and Bouldering Games for Kids, an educational guide for
traverse walls. Michelle grew up on a farm in Norton, KS and
currently lives in Littleton, CO with her husband, Paul, and two
sons, Dawson and Dylan.
Linda Williams
Linda Williams is a
trainer and “spokes” person for Training Wheels. As a facilitator of
leadership and team development programs primarily for corporate and
education groups, she guides participants towards the creation of
the foundational skills necessary for each individual to become
contributing members of a dynamic and resilient team. Linda has over
14 years of experience as a human resources and training specialist
and holds a Master’s degree in Training and Development. She is an
exceptional instructor and facilitator who delivers highly
interactive programs that engage learners through the use of a
variety of instructional methods. Linda and her dog Maggie came to
Colorado for Christmas in 2003 and never left. They live near
Evergreen Lake with a small herd of elk.
Other Staff
Our facilitators are a
team of skilled trainers who use experiential methods to create
productive, safe learning environments. They possess the enthusiasm,
experience, and proven strengths that are necessary to be an
effective trainer. Our broad range of programs and capabilities are
a direct result of the diversity of our staff of counselors,
educators, business trainers and consultants.
